Is there a card or website to register my new Kimber to be under warranty? On Kimbers' website they have a place to put the Authenticity Code but I did not find that card in my case. Is the warranty just implied or do I need to contact Kimber? Thanx!

Warranty's contain legal limitations. I would contact Kimber by phone and follow up with a letter or e-mail that establishes the contact date, and reason for the contact. Save the info in your documents file.TSAron, It is a matter of the wording in the Warranty. Some only honor the warranty for the original owner. Others the gun itself. I sent Thompson Center a 2nd hand 20 yr old flintlock barrel which they repaired and refurbished at no cost. And Kel-Tec replaced a slide on a gun I bought used.

I bought a used Ultra Carry II that had some issues. I sent it in and they fixed the problem and sent me a new magazine too. Had it back in a week and a day. I told them that I bought it used.

TomcattKimber firearms and accessories have a limited one year parts and labor warranty. Should you experience a problem within one year of purchasing a new Kimber product that cannot be resolved by speaking with the Kimber factory (Call (914) 964-0742 and ask for Warranty Service. There is not a toll free number for this purpose.) it will be necessary to return the item to the factory for evaluation. Kimber does not authorize any dealer or gunsmith to attempt repair or adjustments to Kimber products, and non-factory adjustments or modifications will void the warranty.

I don't think I'm lucky. The UCII also had a different MSH on it. Kimber says 1 year warranty but they'll fix it for as long as you or anybody else owns it. I also sent in a Gold Combat II that I bought used. It was made in '04. They refit a new stainless barrel and refinished the slide in KimPro. Also one of the grips had a very small place where the clear coat had come off. They put on a new pair and had it back to me in 2 weeks. I think this is there norm.

Well, I think that a company who goes beyond the wording in there Warranty has customers who are lucky that that do!
Their Warranty clearly states purchasing a Kimber new, and is limited to one year.

Or the company limits the warranty for cases that are clearly not defects in manufacture. If the company still corrects obvious error in manufacturing after the expiration of the warranty, then that is really what we want.Originally Posted by Rich-D
